Dr. Aarohi Ambardekar is a physician, anesthesiologist, and partner with Southern Maryland Anesthesia Associates, LLC, in Lanham. In his work as a consultant anesthesiologist, he is primarily concerned with the patient’s health and comfort during all stages of surgery, including before and after an operation. Dr. Aarohi Ambardekar is trained to individualize anesthesia plans according to variances in physiology. During surgery, he manages critical functions, including ventilator function as well as invasive line placement.
He holds a doctor of osteopathic medicine from the Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo, California. His post-doctorate training occurred at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore and the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.
Away from work, Dr. Aarohi Ambardekar enjoys exploring the natural beauty of America’s national parks. He has visited Shenandoah National Park near Washington, DC, as well as Acadia National Park on the coast of Maine. He also makes time for listening to modern and classic rock and plays the tabla, a percussion instrument originating from India.
