A graduate of both the University of Notre Dame and DePaul University, Adam Tracy holds dual bachelor degrees in finance and computer applications, as well as dual graduate degrees in business and law. Adam Tracy embarked on his finance career as a gasoline trader for British Petroleum and began his legal career as a transactional attorney with Phillip Morris. He has also spent time as General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer of various publicly traded companies, where he was responsible for raising over $200 million in growth capital for his clients.
From 2005 to 2019, Mr. Tracy owned and operated The Tracy Firm, a multifaceted business law firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Among its other practice areas, this firm worked extensively in high-risk sectors, such as cryptocurrency, intellectual property and payments. His clients included the Litecoin Foundation, the entity behind one of the world's most-used cryptocurrencies, Litecoin.
Since May of 2019, Adam Tracy has leveraged his experience as a dynamic business leader and attorney to provide targeted risk management and compliance solutions through his own Chicago-based boutique consultancy. He continues to focus on high-risk and alternative industries that range from blockchain and e-commerce to cannabis and nutraceuticals. His clients include several of the top cryptocurrency organizations in the United States, a leading nutraceutial manufacturer and multiple license cannabis distributors.
