A longtime Massachusetts resident and a senior director with the national mass cytometry and spatial tissue imaging company Fluidigm, Alexander Cherkassky oversees the strategic management of a $60-million product portfolio. Before assuming this position in 2018, he served two years in the chromatography and mass spectrometry division of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Alexander Cherkassky’s responsibilities as Thermo Fisher’s platform director for clinical and medical devices ranged from leading research and development efforts to marketing and supporting equipment in production.

Alexander Cherkassky has also directed chemistry and mass spectrometry research and development for PerkinElmer, and served as an organic laboratory supervisor for the Mitkem Corporation. Over the course of his career, he has filed and secured patents for a number of mass spectrometry applications and modalities.

Mr. Cherkassky lives in Wayland, Massachusetts, where his hobbies include exercising and playing soccer. He is also an avid soccer fan who closely follows the English Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
