A graduate in finance economics from Ohio Wesleyan University, Alexander Stinemetz finished with a GPA of 3.76 and magna cum laude distinction. He earned a membership in several honor societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Alpha Theta, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and Sigma Beta Delta, in recognition of his academic achievement in economics, history, and management. While in college, Alexander Stinemetz was part of the Student Academic Computing Staff, in charge of repairing software and hardware problems and setting up new computers for members of the faculty. He also worked as a finance intern and completed the first stage of the Historic Tax Credit funding proposal to finance a master building plan.
After graduating, Alexander Stinemetz served as a business analyst intern at Worthington Industries, where he worked on several projects to reduce operational inefficiencies and improve overall productivity. Mr. Stinemetz also performed a Honda Freight diagnostic to determine which freight companies to keep and evaluated the efficacy of the pieces of equipment at the company’s Cleveland plant to identify opportunities for system improvement.
In 2016, Alexander Stinemetz joined the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a financial institution specialist. In this role, he performs an assessment of financial institutions and analyzes their risks to the deposit insurance fund. He finished a one-year rotational program, taking turns at different functions, such as depositor and consumer protection, insurance and research, resolutions and receivership, and risk management supervision. Currently, he is training to become a fully commissioned FDIC Financial Institution Examiner while pursuing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
