Dr. Amy Bishop, optometrist and owner of Family Eye Care in Childress, Texas, comes to her work with more than 23 years of experience. She earned her doctor of optometry in 1994 from the University of Houston, where she finished the undergraduate premed degree that she began at Texas A&M University. Shortly after she received her professional degree and became qualified as an optometrist, Dr. Amy Bishop opened her practice with the goal of providing high-quality care to local families.
In 2017 she purchased TSO Bishop Arts, an optometry practice located in Dallas. There, she performs all contact lens evaluations and fittings as well as assessment and management of glaucoma, sudden loss of vision, and other eye health issues.
Dr. Bishop comes to her work with a comprehensive knowledge of all disorders of vision and the eye. She has also received training in anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry, and she continues to advance her knowledge as an attendee at continuing education events and a participant in advanced training courses.
