After earning his master of science in biology cum laude from Gwynedd Mercy University in Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, Andrew Alston embarked on training to become a lawyer at the Temple University Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia. While working toward his juris doctor, he maintained a consistent presence on the Dean’s List and earned an Integrated Trial Advocacy Program Award and a Beth Cross Award, among other honors. Andrew Alston accepted a staff lawyer position with the Defender Association of Philadelphia (DAP) upon graduation. In this role, he achieved a successful trial record with a high volume of cases under his management.
Building upon a career with DAP, Mr. Alston began practicing with the Philadelphia offices of Metka Law. Handling both courtroom trials and settlement negotiations, his specific areas of practice range from family law matters that include divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, and adoption to personal injury and criminal defense.
