Since late 2012, Andy Schroeder has served as owner-president of South Central Steel (SCS) in Harpersville, Alabama. He accepted this role following two years as the company's vice president, and he remains dedicated to providing professional engineering, drafting, and budget services as well as structural steel fabrication and erection for industrial, commercial, and retail projects. Andy Schroeder comes to his work at SCS with diverse experience in the commercial construction industry, having most recently served as director for sales and project management with DEC Construction.

Andy Schroeder previously served as vice president of development and construction with Direct Development, in which position he oversaw all phases of construction. Responsible for all financial modeling and record keeping, including budgeting and funding for each project, he also facilitated internal and client communications and conducted outreach for new endeavors.

Mr. Schroeder accepted this position having served in a similar capacity for Capstone Development. He joined Capstone following a five-year tenure as regional sales manager with Law Engineering, where he added new service lines and brought about a twofold increase in the size of the Birmingham, Alabama, office. He joined Law following an early-career tenure with BE&K Engineering, having studied engineering at Virginia Tech prior to receiving his finance degree from Auburn University.
