Established in 2006, Angels Vocal Art has provided training and performance opportunities to young singers with promise. The organization came into being after world-renowned tenor Carlo Bergonzi visited Pasadena, California, to offer a series of master classes. Angels Vocal Art is dedicated to honoring Bergonzi's generous teaching spirit and continues his legacy by nurturing the careers of talented young artists.
Angels Vocal Art offers intensive summer training programs as well as master classes by such artists as Vittorio Grigòlo, a distinguished tenor who has performed to rave reviews at Covent Garden and the Metropolitan Opera, along with many other leading opera houses. The organization welcomes college-level and select advanced high school artists as well as emerging professionals, all by application and audition.
Through its annual program, Angels Vocal Art strengthens opera's connection to the community and offers quality live summer performances to Los Angeles audiences. For the caliber of its training and the performances its students offer, Angels Vocal Art has received accolades from such media outlets as Pasadena Now and People's World.
