Currently based in South Carolina, Dr. Anisaa Romano served as a General Medical Officer at the Naval Health Clinic in Cherry Point for over a period of four years. Practicing general medicine at the Warrior Wellness and Readiness Clinic with advanced training as an osteopathic physician, Dr. Anisaa Romano served as medical department head for the Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 14, ensuring they were in a state of optimal medical readiness. Dr. Romano also saw that her commanding officers were informed when high-risk patient situations arose. She attended regular comprehensive disability evaluation board meetings and provided timely, accurate briefings on limited duty status Marines being cared for.
Building from her previous experience as an administrative assistant and phlebotomist at Phyiosage Medical Group, Dr. Romano earned her Doctor of Osteopathy and was subsequently selected to complete an internal medicine internship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego through the Naval Health Professional Scholarship Program. In this capacity, she practiced inpatient medicine and provided primary care for patients with complex medical problems via an ambulatory clinic setting.
Among Dr. Anisaa Romano’s accomplishments was delivering a presentation to her colleagues at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla on intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm. She additionally undertook volunteer medical work for underserved locals at St. Vincent De Paul medical clinic in San Diego.
