Currently earning her master of business administration from The Pennsylvania State University, Ashley Merks serves as a project engineer III at Equitrans Midstream in Southpointe, Pennsylvania. In the position, Ashley Merks oversees multiple construction projects including compressor station, pipeline, and interconnect capital undertakings. This work involves coordinating project execution across multiple departments, negotiating contract changes, and reporting status updates to leadership, among many other responsibilities.
Prior to joining Equitrans Midstream, Ashley Merks served Westinghouse Electric Company from 2010 to 2018. She worked as an advanced project manager from 2016 to 2018, during which she coordinated more than 25 internal home office resources and teams in China, Spain, and Germany. While working at Westinghouse Electric Company, she also earned its Advanced Plant Maintenance Certification.
In addition to her responsibilities in the office, Ashley Merks attends chapter meetings as a member of the Project Management Institute. She also holds membership to the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN), an organization committed to developing leaders for the future of nuclear technology.
