An undergraduate majoring in business at the University of Denver, Ava Balfour finds time outside of her studies to volunteer with community groups and organizations. Her volunteer work ranges from helping animals through the Dumb Friends League to serving those facing food insecurity through Food Bank of the Rockies. Ava Balfour also has a heart for the elderly and has dedicated time to senior living groups.

Ava Balfour came to Denver from San Diego, where her high school years were spent at Canyon Crest Academy. While living in Southern California she developed her commitment to philanthropy, earning honors for her service at Las Madrinas Debutante Ball and for her fundraising accomplishments on behalf of those with cystic fibrosis.

When not busy studying or volunteering, Ava Balfour pursues her own hobbies, which include hiking, horseback riding, playing lacrosse, skiing, and scuba diving. She also enjoys planning parties and traveling to faraway places.
