Entrepreneur Awni K. Kaloti is the owner and director of two Florida-based companies. The first is Global American Consulting, which does business as AgAu Solutions and was established to provide comprehensive consulting services to clients in the precious metals industry, including clients handling the refining or assaying of precious metals. Awni K. Kaloti’s second company is Kaloti International Corp., a business in food distribution to grocery chains and meat markets. The company was established in 1984 and has remained profitable for the past 35 years.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Mr. Kaloti held various roles at a drug store in Miami. He started working there while he was earning a degree in civil engineering from Miami Dade College.

He began as a stock boy, but within a year, he was promoted to store manager. For five years he held this title, ultimately earning recognition for the highest sales at an individual store among all 400 Gray Drug Store locations.

Ultimately, Mr. Kaloti was promoted to district manager of 17 stores in south Florida. It was from this position that he founded his first company.
