For 27 years, Barry Baldwin operated a city bus for the New York City Transit Authority. He prioritized the safety and comfort of his passengers and strove to keep his route running on time, and he earned a number of one-year and three-year safety recognitions for his efforts. In addition, due to his commitment to serving all passengers well, Mr. Baldwin received the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certificate award for his attention to the needs of persons with disabilities.

Barry Baldwin joined the NYC Transit Authority after three years in the private sector. Hired by Chase Manhattan Bank to work in the direct mail section of its sales and marketing department, he prepared mailer envelopes and ensured their secure sealing. He went on to serve in similar roles for Bradford Securities and Time Direct Service.

Mr. Baldwin continues to live an active lifestyle. He walks approximately five miles each week and 20 miles each month, and he lifts light weights to keep himself in good physical condition.
