The managing director of S.A.B. Mining, Barry Kevin O’Rourke is responsible for a robust operation in Guyana licensed through the Geology and Mines Commission. Barry Kevin O’Rourke and his team have more than two-dozen tracts of land known as blocks, each of which encompasses 1,200 acres.
Mr. O’Rourke’s exploration and mining activities span precious metals such as gold, as well as diamonds and other valuable minerals. His activities extend to commodity acquisitions and sales, and his company works in close proximity to Guyana Goldfields, which has achieved annual production of a quarter-million ounces of gold. In total, more than 600,000 declared ounces of gold were produced nationwide in 2019.
Mr. O’Rourke is committed to efforts to improve local communities by creating sustained economic opportunities in rural areas. He has also contributed significantly to health care efforts in a developing region of the globe.
