Working with Blanchard Nephrology, Dr. Benahili Iboaya draws on more than a decade of medical experience. These medical skills have been transferred from his prior practice at Findlay Kidney and Hypertension Center, on to Blanchard Nephrology. Here he has aligned with other highly trained and dedicated medical providers, to continue to provide the highest quality of medical care to a broader population of patients. The Clinicians at Blanchard Nephrology oversee an extensive clinical practice, including several dialysis clinics, hospitals and chronic kidney disease clinics..
In the role, of senior nephrologist at Blanchard Nephrology, he is responsible for treating renal disease and chronic kidney disease. Dr. Iboaya, has a particular interest in home dialysis, and as an advocate has continued to provide home hemo-dialysis, as well as, peritoneal dialysis options to patients in the localities he serves. Another area of interest, of Dr. Iboaya, is depression in end stage renal disease. Dr. Benahili Iboaya has been engaged in several research and studies on prevalence of depression in end stage renal disease.
He is also a published writer, with “Proverbs and Idioms of our Elders, Words of Wisdom.” Alongside the American Osteopathic Association, Dr. Benahili Iboaya is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Nephrologists and the America Medical Association.
Before earning his medical degree in 2003, Dr. Iboaya attended Kansas State University and Washington University in St. Louis, earning a biology degree from the latter. He also minored in African-American studies. Dr. Iboaya also earned a masters in business administration degree from Bowling Green University.
