As a per diem therapist with the Fort-Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center, Bency Alphonse oversees group and individual therapy sessions, alongside family therapy. At the center, Bency Alphonse works with different populations including children, geriatrics, and substance rehabilitation.
After administering initial exams to clients, he is responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans. Upon successful treatment, he works with his clients to plan post-discharge follow-ups.
Alongside the center, Mr. Alphonse is a level three interpreter with Language Line Solutions. Through the organization, he provides medical interpretation services to health departments, hospitals and courtrooms, immigration services in Haitian Creole and French. He also offers cultural and linguistic consultations when requested.
Since 2003, Bency Alphonse has also been the president of INIACAP, which he founded. Through the nonprofit, he provides educational scholarships to Haitian students. He also works to fund educational projects in the country.
Alongside representing the charity in the press, he oversees the organization’s officers and presides over board meetings. He additionally works with Haiti Global Village, where he has been a project development director since 2016.
