After studying mechanical engineering at Midlands Technical College and microbiology at the University of South Carolina, Florida entrepreneur Bill Oliver spent time working on HVAC mechanical systems with Advance Mechanical in Charleston, South Carolina. Prior to moving to Florida, Bill Oliver worked in sales with Piedmont Airlines and Vicran IGF Pharmaceuticals. He also served as a firefighter with the Columbia Fire Department.
In Florida, Mr. Oliver continued his work in the medical field with companies such as RX To You Pharmacy, Satori Medical Group, and Spinal Solutions. He also studied to become a physical therapy assistant. He then went on to educate physicians in the methods and use of PCR DNA testing and report interpretation.
Further, Mr. Oliver developed an innovative blanket for use on the beach. Known as the Bodacious Beach Blanket, it has appeared on ABC-TV's Good Morning America and in numerous magazines. Its features include waterproof pockets to hold important items and weighted corners for windy days.
