With a background in international real estate spanning nearly two decades, BJ Turner currently focuses on the Southern California market in his role as Dunleer, LLC, founding principal. Acquiring 33 major properties since 2014, BJ Turner has developed a network of high net worth and family office investment partners. His results-driven approach centers on identifying sub-institutional assets that can be renovated and repositioned in ways that generate upside value in emerging sub-markets.
In his previous role at Laurus Corporation, Mr. Turner opportunistically acquired domestic hotel and office assets, and assisted in the portfolio that eventually became 16 properties valued at approximately $700 million. He also worked with the affiliated Ethika Investment Fund, which invited investor participation across foundations, endowments, pension funds, and corporate entities.
Among Mr. Turner’s recent accomplishments has been the sale by Dunleer of West LA Collection Apartments. This transaction involved a portfolio in one of Los Angeles’ premier westside submarkets. A licensed California real estate agent, BJ Turner is also active with the Urban Land Institute and attends meetings each spring and fall in various North American locations.
