Bo Cumbo is an experienced professional in the Pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. He started at Sarepta in 2013 and was drawn there because of the Sarepta's commitment to helping those with rare diseases.

Before joining the Sarepta Therapeutics team, he worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2010 to 2013. At Vertex Cumbo was a key player in designing a sales force to market Vertex's first commercial drug, Incivek—an oral treatment for hepatitis C. This launch is considered one of the most successful launches in US pharmaceutical history.

Bo earned his BS in laboratory technology from Auburn University.
