As a district care coordinator for the Toronto Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), former occupational therapist Brenda Hanna oversees the delivery of home care for clients covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan. Responsible for conducting assessments to determine a long-term plan of care, Brenda Hanna oversees client care from hospital discharge through community residential placement. She joined Toronto LHIN in 2016.
In her previous role as owner and operations manager of AchieveMax Rehabilitation Inc., Ms. Hanna oversaw the delivery of healthcare to patients requiring rehabilitative services such as physical and occupational therapy as well as social work. In addition to creating and implementing quality care plans, she executed strategies aimed at optimizing client care and maximizing business returns.
Earlier in her career, she worked for Rehab First and Bayshore Therapy and Rehabilitation and was a consultant for Karen Rucas and Associates. A graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, she holds a bachelor’s degree in health science and a master’s degree in occupational therapy.
