After earning a bachelor of arts in political science and history, Bret Woodley attended Wayne State University, where he earned a master’s degree in educational leadership. In the subsequent decades, he has worked with middle and high schools across the state of Michigan, such as the Academy of Warren. Serving as the academy’s lead social studies teacher, Bret Woodley was also a part of the Middle School Student Council, serving as its director. While at the institution, he developed its advisory program, alongside creating an argumentative essay writing program.
Mr. Woodley subsequently joined Mumford High School, where he is a civics, advanced placement government, and economics teacher. Since starting the role, he has designed a social justice documentary program for his civics class while developing the social studies curriculum. Throughout this time, Mr. Woodley has been the chair of the social studies department.
In his free time, Bret Woodley enjoys watching the National Football League and National Hockey League. He also likes high school sports, including swimming, diving, and hockey.
