A graduate of UCLA Brett Grimes earned his bachelor of arts in economics in 1985. Over the course of his career, he has worked for a number of major financial institutions, serving in a series of senior administrative positions out of regional offices in the Santa Barbara area. Brett Grimes has also lent his support to organizations in Los Angeles, sitting on the board of directors of the Los Angeles Dream Center and holding membership in the Los Angeles-based nonprofit professional services provider Southern California Grantmakers.

When he isn’t working, Mr. Grimes enjoys the Santa Barbara community and following Notre Dame football where he is a long time season ticket holder.. He shares his love of the Fighting Irish with his son, Scott, who was associated with the Notre Dame football team while he was a student there. Brett's other favorite hobbies include snow skiing and horseback riding. He stays fit and well-balanced by practicing Pilates.
