A resident of Lakeville, Minnesota, Brian Baldwin draws on nearly 30 years of business development and financial management experience in his role as an independent business-strategy consultant. Brian Baldwin has been serving clients in this capacity since 2007, prior to which he was the chief financial officer of Visible Retail Inc., a partnership with the Best Buy Corporation, for which he was responsible for accounting, accumulating funds, and research and development functions.

Brian Baldwin spent the first 13 years of his career as an investment banker and retail-venture maven with the Minneapolis, Minnesota-based firm Miller Johnson Steichen Kinnard, Inc. During this time, he facilitated dozens of private placements and initial public offerings, in addition to raising tens of millions of dollars for venture funding and business development.

He began his career as an hourly employee with United Postal Service (UPS) and rose to the position of supervisor while still attending the University of Minnesota. He earned a bachelor of arts in economics from the school in 1988. A former professional drummer, he enjoys playing music in his free time.
