Before this, he held similar roles with the Einstein Healthcare Network for eight years. Working with the chief executive officer, he implemented a turnaround plan valued at $50 million. To help with this turnaround, Brian Derrick designed and implemented a strategic financial projection and planning process and improved the revenue cycle by $15 million.
He also raised $500 million in capital for the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based organization. During his tenure, he oversaw the financial operation for numerous care facilities, including four hospitals, two physician companies, and multiple outpatient settings.
