Brian Taylor of Novo Nordisk A/S earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Hampton University in 1993. The following year, Taylor enrolled as a sport management major at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst, where he graduated with a Master of Science in 1996.
Before embarking on a pharmaceutical career with Novo Nordisk, Brian Taylor served as Sports Director for Nike/Streetball Partners, Inc. He then joined AstraZeneca as a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist, expanding the company’s market share with the introduction of a new anti-hypertensive medication. During his three-year tenure with the pharmaceutical company, Brian Taylor achieved recognition as the Dallas Customer Unit’s leading sales professional.
In 2000, Brian Taylor was named Class Valedictorian for his training success at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he worked as a Territory Business Manager and District Sales Trainer until September 2002. Bristol-Myers Squibb also honored Taylor with its 2001 District Leadership Award, as well as its 2006 National District Business Manager Vision Award. As District Business Manager, Brian Taylor led a team of 10 representatives to obtain consecutive rankings in the top 16 percent of the primary care sales force.
Furthering his pursuits in medication marketing, Brian Taylor began his role as District Manager for Novo Nordisk A/S, a global health care company dedicated to improving diabetes care. After only two years with Novo Nordisk, he was promoted to Senior Manager of Field Force Execution, a position he continues to maintain. Brian Taylor’s current responsibilities include supervising a 2,000-person sales force, developing Plan of Action (POA) meetings, providing comprehensive field coaching summaries, and hiring qualified personnel.
Recently, Brian Taylor assumed additional responsibilities at Novo Nordisk as North Carolina’s Regional Business Director. Utilizing his expertise in the marketing sector, Brian Taylor presently oversees 10 district managers and roughly 100 sales representatives.
Brian Taylor is a former member of the National Sales Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping professionals enhance their skills in the sales industry.
