The Bridge International Academies community school network has been operating in the education sector since 2009. The network was founded on the belief that every child has the right to high-quality education, and Bridge International Academies endeavours to provide children living in poverty and/or underserved communities with access to a quality education.

Committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 to ‘ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning’, the Bridge International Academies community school network helps to achieve this by providing quality education for both pre-primary and primary children living in developing countries.

The network measures its success according to the learning outcomes of its pupils, which have proven to be a great success. With an outstanding record, its pupils’ exam results have outperformed the national average for many consecutive years in many countries. Bridge International Academies’ first school was founded in 2009, and since then, the network’s parent company (a social enterprise) has reached the million children a year mark through government supported or community schools.

Designing scalable and high-quality education systems for low-income communities is Bridge International Academies’ long-term mission, which has been fast-tracked thanks, in part, to its parent company’s partnerships with international governments.

At present, the organisation also has partnerships with governments in Edo, Borno and Lagos States as well as in Liberia and China. It is also a member of the UN Global Compact; Women’s Empowerment Principles; the Global Schools Forum; the Million Lives Club; and Business Fights Poverty.
