The Importance of Comedy

Comedy is an essential part of our lives, and without it, we would be living in a very different world. However, many people do not understand the importance of comedy, and some even scoff at it as an unessential part of our lives! So, why is comedy so important for us?
Why We Need Comedy
Comedy is changing in the ways in which we experience it nowadays, due to the fact that modern television allows for comedians to better display their work to the masses. Indeed, the ways in which we enjoy comedy is changing, and our tastes in comedy are also changing; thankfully, though, we still have a great selection of different types of comedy to enjoy!

But, why is comedy so important in our modern lives? Why do we need comedy, and how can it benefit us as a person and as a society, on the whole?

Simply put, the main purpose of a comedy show is to make us laugh. Laughing is an important part of our lives and is essential if we are to ensure that we stay in top condition! Indeed, it is now well known that laughing is just as important a part of our lives as eating a healthy and well balanced diet.

But why is laughing so important?

For one thing, laughing is important due to the fact that it can help us to strengthen our immune systems, thereby keeping out disease. Indeed, just as stress can lower the immune system, elation can improve it by helping to promote the production of vital antibodies against disease—and this will help a person to stay fit and well for as long as possible! Comedy is just one of the many different things that can help a person to laugh, and so this is one reason why comedy is important in our modern lives. After all, we could all do with being a little bit less stressed!

That’s not all, though! Another notable reason why laughing is so important is due to the fact that laughing helps us to lower the number of hormones in our bloodstream (such as adrenaline) which, in turn, can make us feel more at ease and at peace with ourselves.
