As a recent graduate of the University of Connecticut, Cara DeLuca comes to the workforce with a strong record of academic achievement and a history of service. She embarked on her first international outreach trip in the summer of 2012, when she spent 30 hours working with Surman Palna Orphanage in India through the Rustic Pathways organization. Cara DeLuca returned from this trip and shortly thereafter embarked on a trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica, where she served at Mustard Seed Blessed Assurance Orphanage.
Cara DeLuca volunteered the following summer at Common Ground International in Costa Rica then returned to Mustard Seed for a second trip. She enrolled in the University of Connecticut late that summer and during the spring of her freshman year, she took another service trip to Guatemala. Closer to home, Cara DeLuca continues to volunteer through the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization as a mentor to an elementary school child.
Cara DeLuca has maintained a strong academic record and is a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the official honor society of the National Communication Association. A former social media and marketing intern at Murillo Media and Discover Excursions, both in Spain, she also served as a marketing communications intern at the University of Connecticut's Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity.
