An experienced clinical researcher, Dr. Carl Bazan holds an MD from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. His educational background also includes studies at Harvard Medical School and MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he earned a patient safety certificate and undertook training in nonverbal communication, respectively. Most recently, in 2016, Dr. Carl Bazan studied cultural competency and medical translation/interpretation through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Carl Bazan draws on his educational background in his current role as a clinical research associate with Precision for Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland. Working in the Bioservices Department, he maintains daily oversight of the company’s investigational sites, ensuring they adhere to quality standards and serving as their primary contact. His responsibilities also include providing training to team members and translating regulatory and safety documents.
Prior to accepting his position with Precision for Medicine, Dr. Bazan played a key role in conducting clinical trials that involved pharmaceutical companies like Bayer and AstraZeneca. He began his clinical research career in Latin America, where for five years, he monitored studies initiated by dermatologists and surgeons.
