With several decades of experience, Carl Byington is a Atlanta GA-based engineer and entrepreneur who has worked with a variety of firms during his career, including Impact Technologies, Sikorsky and Penn State ARL. He currently leads PHM Design, LLC. Carl Byington is a member of several professional organizations, such as AIAA, ASME, AHS, MFPT and PHM Socieity.

Mr. Byington also has experience with the Lockheed Martin company Sikorsky Aircraft, where he served as the CBM+ technical design lead. While in the role, which he held between 2011 and 2017, he was responsible for a variety of tasks, including performing business development and strategic leadership activities.

Outside of work, Mr. Byington enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits, such as SCUBA diving, backpacking, and mountain climbing. Before starting his career, he attended the University of Pennsylvania and George Washington University, where he gained a BS in mechanical engineering and an MS in aeronautical engineering, respectively.
