Carl Levin Producer

Producer and Financial Executive

Morgan Stanley & Co

The recipient of three degrees, including a JD degree from the University of California, a BA from Princeton and an MBA from New York University, producer Carl Levin has built a successful career in entertainment, finance, and advertising. Supplementing his roles as cofounder and COO of 87AM Advertising and a vice president in Morgan Stanley & Co.'s investment banking practice, Carl Levin took on a producer role for the 2005 film Pretty Persuasion, which was a Sundance Film Festival grand jury finalist. He later served as an executive producer for the films Drive Thru and Barry Munday.

His greatest accomplishment in the entertainment industry is his work with Rock of Ages, a Broadway musical he co-developed off the back of a napkin in a Los Angeles boardroom and turned into the 28th longest-running show in theater history. The production was nominated for Best Musical at the 2009 Tony Awards and later turned into a Hollywood film starring Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, and Catherine Zeta-Jones, among others.

Carl Levin's latest production, Disgraced, debuted on Broadway in 2014 after opening two years prior in Chicago. It earned the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and was nominated for Best Play at the 2015 Tony Awards.
