With a background in finance extending back to the early 2000s, San Francisco-based entrepreneur Carl Radford manages capital totaling USD 200 million and focuses on fixed income trading strategies involving the New Zealand dollar (NZD) and Australian dollar (AUD). Carl Radford’s commitment extends to philanthropy and he has a longstanding interest in global politics.
Carl Radford began his career in 2000 with HSBC Australia and was senior trader, dealing with AUD and NZD interest rates, from 2003 to 2007. Next, joining HSBC Hong Kong, Mr. Radford oversaw the firm’s AUD and NZD derivatives trading desks and managed a team of three staff members. Strategies employed spanned long-end AUD swaps, as well as short hedging approaches. After that, Carl Radford then served as Nomura’s London-based global head of dollar bloc fixed income trading prior to joining Bluecrest Capital Singapore in a role similar to his present position in California.
Mr. Radford is a Sydney University graduate who holds a bachelor of commerce in economics, financing, and marketing. Active as an art collector, Carl Radford is also a longtime skiing enthusiast who maintains a residence in the resort community of Aspen, Colorado.
