Charlotte de Vries, a high school student in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, has volunteered extensively in her local community with multiple organizations that help those who lack the money for basic necessities. As part of her high school sports team, she has worked many shifts with the Chester County Food Bank and Pete's Produce in Norristown, picking and collecting vegetables. She also works with T and E care, sorting clothing for the organization's clothing drives. From 2013 until 2016, Charlotte de Vries volunteered with Operation Smile in Virginia Beach as well, organizing a group of her peers to raise money via a charity dodgeball tournament.
One passion Charlotte de Vries pursues in her free time is taking care of animals. She hopes to work in the animal rescue or animal medical care field, and has considered turning her love of animals and science into a career in veterinary work. Presently, Charlotte de Vries engages her love of animals by regularly dog-sitting for a local family, including bathing, brushing, and running with the pet.
