Chef Jeff McInnis is an established presence in South Florida who partners with his wife, chef Janine Booth, in developing, opening, and producing restaurant concepts that have achieved nationwide acclaim. Chef Jeff McInnis was head project manager of the launch of Root & Bone in 2014, overseeing the restaurant’s build-out, brand creation, selection of staff, and interior and kitchen design.
Celebrated for its local, farm-to-table approach to Southern comfort cuisine, the original 75-seat restaurant was expanded in 2019 to include locations in South Miami and Indianapolis. A culinary “power couple,” Mr. McInnis and his wife additionally launched Sauced Pizza in Portage, Indiana, which features fresh, local, ingredients incorporated into Italian and American comfort dishes, and Mi’Talia Kitchen & Bar in South Miami.
Mr. McInnis’ background in fine dining extends back to the 1990s, when he was a sous chef at the upscale casual Atlanticville Restaurant & Café in Charleston, South Carolina, for 4 years. In the early 2000s, Mr. McInnis held a similar position with Azie in San Francisco, where he focused on Asian-inspired French cuisine at an establishment that earned “best newcomer” recognition from Gourmet Magazine.
