In Christopher (Chris) Westergaard’s career as a psychotherapist, he cared for patients through The Center for Human Development, a St. Paul, Minnesota, practice that he co-founded in 1975. Under his leadership as director, the Center provided community-based mental health services to patients of all ages. In addition to providing therapy, Chris Westergaard’s practice worked to benefit the St. Paul community by hosting workshops and other educational offerings focused on psychological health.
Before establishing The Center for Human Development, Mr. Westergaard graduated magna cum laude with a master of science in psychology from Columbia University. A licensed clinical social worker, he also holds a master of social work and maintains memberships in several professional organizations.
Since transitioning from The Center for Human Development in 1987, Mr. Westergaard has relocated to San Francisco, where he pursues his interests in sailing and scuba diving. Physically active, he also enjoys skiing and horseback riding.
