Chris Kape leads JAMCO Capital, an early stage venture capital and consulting firm focused on in the areas of gaming, high tech and wellness.
With over 20 years of experience, Chris has helped numerous private and publicly traded businesses in various stages of their life cycle –from incubation to commercialization to maturity.
As a result, and as testimony to his track record, Chris maintains a number of officer and director positions with firms engaged in a cross section of industries, including Riversol Skin Care Solutions, The Pie Hole and Midnight Paloma, among others.
One of his biggest accomplishments took place in Q4 2018, when he sold Las Vegas-based Don Best Sports Corporation (“Don Best”), a leading global supplier of real-time betting data and pricing for North American sporting events, to Scientific Games Corporation (“SG” or “Scientific Games”), a publicly traded corporation, that provides gambling products and services to lottery and gambling organizations across the globe.
As someone who highly values service/charity work, both in Vancouver and internationally, Chris Kape has gone on service trips to rural Uganda and India with The Walking School Bus and Metowe, as well as to Columbia, Costa Rica, Bulgaria and Mexico pursuing this interest.
Through his personal and business efforts, Chris is able to combine his skills of fundraising and fitness by helping charities through event competition. Throughout the years, Chris has completed numerous Rides to Conquer Cancer events (Vancouver-Seattle), GranFondo Biking Events, Marathons and half marathons (New York, Vancouver, Seattle) and other such intense physical events, raising money for charity wherever he can. He has also traveled to Israel to participate in the Maccabiah Games representing Canada as a Master Athlete in the long distance running event.
Outside of his professional and philanthropic accomplishments, Chris is a father of three who enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking and biking.
Chris graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administrative and Commercial Studies. He went on to earn his Masters in Business Administration from Concordia University.
