With a successful career in finance behind him, Christopher K. Norton has focused on pathways for bringing social awareness and enhanced learning to secondary and post-secondary education over the past decade. Emphasizing an area of personal interest, Christopher K. Norton serves in board roles with several educational institutions.
As chair of the Loomis Chaffee board of trustees since 2004, Mr. Norton has supported a Windsor, Connecticut boarding school’s administrators in the implementation of a new strategic plan. He also founded the Norton Center for the Common Good, an academic center with an innovative approach to providing students with resources that allow them to make sound and ethical decisions.
Mr. Norton’s activities extend to a role as board manager with Haverford College, and he has chaired its long-range planning committee. He also partnered with the recent Association of American Universities president in a successful Haverford fundraising campaign. Passionate about music, Mr. Norton enjoys everything from the classical composers Ludwig van Beethoven and J.S. Bach to the Beach Boys and the Eagles.
