A military veteran and longtime law enforcement professional, Chris Throgmorton has held many positions of responsibility throughout his long career. As a sergeant with the United States Marine Corps in Yuma, Arizona, Chris Throgmorton supervised a munitions work center. In this role, he managed more than 80 ordnance personnel conducting critical tasks such as munitions transportation, packaging, and assembly. Under his direction, the unit passed a MCAS Yuma Explosives Safety Audit with the auditors finding zero discrepancies. During this time, Chris Throgmorton also earned certifications as an explosives handler and a quality assurance and safety observer.
In 2001, Christopher Michael Throgmorton left the Marine Corps to become a law enforcement professional with the California Highway Patrol. During his decade-long career as a CHP officer, he earned several achievement awards while promoting public safety. He also held several leadership positions, including serving as an equal opportunity counselor and an officer-in-charge.
Currently, Christopher Michael Throgmorton is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources management at Arizona State University. Due to graduate shortly, he has taken advanced courses in subjects such as cultural awareness, suicide awareness, and drug training.
