As assistant principal at Rocklin Unified School District Victory Alternative School and Rocklin Independent Charter Academy in California, Chuck Thibideau continues more than two decades of leadership in the field of education. Throughout his career, he has worked with a diverse range of students, including those from families with significant social and economic challenges. Chuck Thibideau credits his master's degree in marriage, family, and child counseling for assisting him in handling a variety of issues in this work.
In his current position in a wealthier school district, Chuck Thibideau has headed a variety of initiatives to improve school practices, including creating a Student Ambassador Program, implementing safety protocol, and boosting student attendance. Previously, he worked with schools such as Ethel I. Baker Elementary School and Goethe Middle School.
While serving as principal at Breen Elementary School, he used his participation in the Markleeville Death Ride, a bicycling competition, to raise funds to buy computers for the school. In addition to spending time cycling, he also enjoys gardening, backpacking, carpentry, water sports, and attending country music concerts.
