Founded in High Point, North Carolina, knowledge-based marketing firm Cooper and Cockerham opened its second office in the seaside community of Wilmington. The company later expanded to the West Coast, with the opening of the Portland, Oregon, office, originally developed as a way to serve client Daimler. Now, the three offices of Cooper and Cockerham work closely together to develop unique and individualized marketing plans centered on real customer behavior.
Cooper and Cockerham bases all of its strategic and design decisions on client transactional data. No marketing initiatives go forward unless they align with the way a client's customers buy, behave, and interact with the client organization. As a result, every client marketing plan and action item is unique as the client and as original as the creative who developed it.
Cooper and Cockerham has driven results for such companies as Wachovia, JP Morgan Chase, and Citibank. The company has also expanded horizontally to acquire Collateral Reach, a fulfillment and distribution facility that now oversees direct marketing materials for small to mid-size clients. A later acquisition of the Magazine Gift Program has also enhanced the company's value to clients, as it provides a new resource for promoting customer retention.
