A financial services executive with more than two decades of experience, Craig Cmiel founded BX Partners in 2018. As president of the company, he has created an infrastructure designed to help money managers improve client acquisition, increase productivity, and further business development. From 2001 to 2012, Craig Cmiel served as an executive director with UBS Financial Services (Charlotte complex), overseeing growth and development for several new territories. At the peak of the financial crisis, he led the company to 40 percent growth between 2009 and 2011, and was named USB Manager of the Year in 2010.

Mr. Cmiel holds a bachelor of arts in political science from Augustana College, where he played varsity basketball and served as student body president. He began his career as a research assistant for Legg Mason, before shifting his focus to financial advising. He spent several years as a financial consultant with Wheat First Securities and Merrill Lynch, where he was a Million Dollar Producer and member of the Chairman’s Council. Craig Cmiel later received a Leadership & Diversity certificate from the Riley School of Leadership at Furman University.
