Dr. Daniel “Danny” Ashley is a residency physician at the University of Louisville (UofL Health). He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Queensland – Ochsner Health Medical Program in December 2024, after completing a Master of Public Administration with distinction and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, magna cum laude, from California State University, Fresno. During his time at Fresno State, he served as vice president of the American Medical Student Association and president of Sigma Chi fraternity.
A Top Dog Scholar, Dr. Ashley was recognized as one of just 50 students nationwide by the Fresno State Alumni Association for his leadership and service. He also earned an Outstanding Poster Award at the 39th Annual Central California Research Symposium. As a Certified Medical Scribe Specialist at Community Regional Medical Center, he supported emergency department physicians and contributed to research studies. Passionate about health equity and social justice, Dr. Ashley has participated in medical mission trips to Peru and Costa Rica, volunteered at community health events like the Migrant Education Fair, and served local organizations including Bulldog Pantry and Poverello House.
