A longtime resident of the New York metropolitan area, Daria Klemick attended Hanover Park High School in East Hanover, New Jersey. During her time as a student at Hanover Park, Daria was a member of several clubs and organizations. These included Key Club (a charity based club), National Honor Society, and the Dance Team. She also founded her school's chapter of the "Girl Up" Club, while still maintaining excellent grades. In January 2016, she was named "Student of the Month."
Outside of school she trained rigorously with the Syzokryli Ukrainian Dance Ensemble in New York City, as well as with the Iskra Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, based in Whippany, NJ. During her summers, she worked as a camp counselor at the Roma Pryma Bohachevsky Ukrainian Dance Camp in Kerhonkson, New York. There, she had the opportunity to share her love of Ukrainian dance with the campers and serve as an assistant choreographer to the camp director.
