The chief executive officer of Capstone Affluent Strategies in Irvine, California, Darin Pastor directs the investment of Capstone's assets under management in the stock of undervalued companies according to Capstone's "operations-centric" approach to acquisitions and profitability optimization. Before assuming this position in 2012, he worked for the Prudential Insurance Company of America. Working out of Prudential’s offices in Newark, New Jersey, Darin Pastor earned recognition as the top managing director in the United States in 2012.

In addition to his love of business, Mr. Pastor is a lifelong hockey fan whose father, Sydney Pastor, owned the minor American Hockey League Buffalo Bisons until the team was disbanded in 1970. In 2013, Darin Pastor attempted to follow in his father’s footsteps as a hockey team owner by bidding to purchase the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League (NHL). For uncertain reasons that may have been aggravated by disagreements within NHL management, this bid was ultimately rejected.
