As the founder of IPA Construction, Darrick Chavis has over a decade of construction experience. With the company, Darrick Chavis focuses on rehabbing distressed properties on behalf of investors and agencies.

Alongside rehabs, he has worked on projects where he built custom homes from the ground up. Mr. Chavis also has experience in the real estate industry and is the owner of Platinum Group Advisors. While still specializing in fire damaged or distressed properties, he also focuses on real estate transactions, such as renting.

Darrick Chavis has earned multiple awards, with many of these for work done in Contra Costa and Alameda counties. He received a landlord of the year award in 2018.

Throughout his career, he has leaned on a strong education. A California State University, Hayward graduate, Mr. Chavis earned a bachelor of arts in human development in 1995. He initially attended the University of Louisville before transferring. During this time, he had a successful basketball career. He subsequently earned a master’s degree in public administration in 1997. During this time, he had a successful basketball career.
