The recipient of a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. John's University, David Pagoumian worked as assistant vice president of Tri-City Brokerage while attending the school. Upon graduation, David Pagoumian joined NAPCO LLC as senior vice president and was tasked with new business generation and customer retention for the insurance brokerage company. He held this role for five years before being promoted to president and COO.

David Pagoumian was promoted to CEO of NAPCO in 2008, and held the position until 2015, when the company was purchased by CRC Insurance Services. Following the sale, he was named property practice group leader of the New Jersey-based team and charged with analyzing potential client risks and creating appropriate and necessary insurance protection, among other tasks. Beyond working with clients and maintaining relationships with other business sources, including underwriters and retail brokers, Mr. Pagoumian regularly attends national conferences on behalf of the company. Beyond his professional pursuits, he serves as alumni president of the board of directors for St. John's University's School of Risk Management and Actuarial Science.
