A hedge fund manager with over three decades’ industry experience, David Simon is the CEO/CIO of Twin Capital, an alternative investment management firm that serves a broad roster of clients, from insurance companies and pension funds to high net worth individuals and families. As the head of the firm he founded in 1988, David Simon makes crucial decisions involving portfolio management of the firm’s event-driven funds.

At his New York City office, Mr. Simon manages the day-to-day portfolio management activities, supported by his team of investment and business professionals. He has achieved a 30-year track record of positive returns with only two down years, 2002 and 2014. He also has received several awards including the Young Jewish Professionals Equity Event Driven/Merger Arbitrage Award and HFM Week’s 2012, 2013, and 2014 US Performance Awards for Merger Arbitrage and the 2016 US Performance Award for Long/Short Equity.

Outside of his career, he is a committed philanthropist who prioritizes donating to causes focused on assisting children and alleviating poverty. He established the David Simon Foundation to manage his charitable donations.
