Mr. Derek Steffen is the author of Greater Than a Tourist - Sacramento California USA: 50 Travel Tips From a Local. In addition to this book, a popular new release on Amazon, Mr. Derek Steffen has collaborated on several published freelance writing projects.

A native of Sacramento, Mr. Steffen serves as a writer and consultant, his interest partly stemming from his experience minoring in English at Sonoma State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science. He has served as a fiction editor, assisting authors such as Christine DeYoung, who writes science fiction for young adults.

In addition to working on grammar and other issues, Mr. Steffen has helped authors create an online presence. Such was the case with Steve Estes, the author of Ask and Tell: Gay and Lesbian Veterans Speak Out. His portfolio also includes a textbook by Greg Marchand on non-invasive surgical procedures.
