With more than two decades of experience as a healthcare professional, outside of work Diane Kanady enjoys learning U.S. history, as well as staying active pursuing diverse athletic interests. Among her favorite historical subjects, Diane Kanady studies Native American history and the founding of the Jamestown Settlement. Harboring a love of competition, she participates in ultimate frisbee matches and plays golf. She is also an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
Before the start of her career, Diane Kanady earned a bachelor's degree in business. From 1979 to 1994, she furnished training and international sales solutions for a company serving the telecommunications and aerospace industries. During this period, she earned multiple awards, such as the Top 5 Percent Sales Force Award. She ultimately attained the title of a corporate account executive.
Ms. Kanady returned to school to attain a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling in 1997. Following graduation, she donated her time as a hospice caregiver. Most recently, she led the patient and family advisory council initiatives at one of the leading hospitals in the U.S.
