Dietmar Wertanzl has been active as an executive in the hospitality sector for many years. Among a number of other hospitality and cruise industry organizations, he led Cruise West of Seattle, Washington, as President and Chief Executive Officer. His efforts to improve comfort and efficiency as well as expanding itineraries from an Alaskan base to world-wide, garnered the cruse line mention as Best Expedition Cruise Line by Porthole Magazine as well as a Reader’s Choice award in Recommend Magazine. Dietmar Wertanzl also served as Chief Operating Officer for Tauck World Discovery, a tour operator and river cruise operator headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut, and as Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations for Celebrity Cruises, Inc., a part of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

As a valued voice in his field, Dietmar Wertanzl has been asked to speak at several events related to the hospitality profession. Among others, he has lectured at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, New York. In addition, he has aligned himself with a number of professional and academic organizations including the Cornell Industry Affairs Advisory board and the Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Motel Association.
